What is Whey Protein?

Science

Whey Protein is rapidly absorbed, allowing it to get to your muscles quicklyWhey protein is a protein naturally found in milk. We believe that it is one of nature’s perfect proteins.  Why? Because it is complete and efficient.

A complete protein means that it has all the amino acids your body needs for healthy growth and maintenance. We need twenty different types of amino acids, but our body can only manufacture eleven. The others must come from our diets and they are called essential amino acids.  Unlike other proteins, whey protein contains all the essential amino acids that our bodies need in the perfect proportions. The levels of these essential amino acids present in whey protein meet or exceed the standards of the World Health Organization. No other protein has a greater concentration of essential amino acids than whey protein.

Whey protein is also an efficient protein because of its structure and the amino acids it contains. It is efficiently used by the body, easily digested and rapidly absorbed, which allows it to get to your muscles quickly.
